Born in Wilmington, NC — a city with deep roots in resilience and revolution — MDLA Medallion grew up surrounded by both struggle and greatness. She walked the same school halls as Michael Jordan, played ball, and learned early that survival was an art.
In Creekwood, she saw firsthand how short life could be. Losing a peer to gun violence and another to a house fire ignited in her the need to stand as a positive force in her community.
Life took her to Hampton, VA, where moments of freedom came only through dancing at the beach with friends. But soon, the Army became her next chapter. There, she gained discipline and clarity: she could spend her life fighting someone else’s battles, or fight her own first.
After her service, life hit hard. Homelessness tested her, but it was in her first apartment — earned through sheer determination — that MDLA was born. With only $20 and a vision, she began creating clothes that told her story.
Today, MDLA Medallion’s luxury streetwear blends bold design, premium craftsmanship, and spiritual depth. Every hoodie is more than apparel — it’s a symbol of empowerment, faith, and the belief that nothing outside of you can define your worth.
